Ear ache can be very painful and a result of internal or external causes.
Garlic is widely used in Ayurveda for its medicinal properties. In particular, garlic can be used to treat ear pain. Garlic oil is often used as an ear drop to help alleviate earache. Garlic oil is made by grinding up fresh garlic and mixing it with an oil like olive or sunflower oil.
Alternatively, you can prepare garlic oil by soaking a few cloves of garlic in warm sesame oil overnight. To use this remedy, put a few drops of the oil into the affected ear and leave it there for 10-15 minutes. For best results, do this twice daily. Studies have shown that garlic oil is effective in reducing earache and inflammation.
Additionally, garlic contains powerful antibacterial, anti-fungal, and antiviral properties – all of which can help fight infections that may be causing the ear pain.
